Babar Azam, currently navigating a challenging phase in his cricket career, recently turned to faith amid growing pressure, coinciding with the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi. In a heartfelt post on the social media platform X, Babar reflected on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), stating, “Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the light in the darkest hour, who taught us to see through the eyes of compassion.”

This message comes when Babar struggles with his form on the field, particularly after Pakistan’s recent difficulties in international cricket. Since the ICC World Cup in India last year, Babar has faced a series of underwhelming performances with the bat. His recent outings in a two-Test series against Bangladesh, where he scored 0, 22, 11, and 31, have further highlighted his struggles. Pakistan’s loss in that series and Babar dropping out of the ICC top 10 rankings for batters for the first time in years have drawn increased scrutiny over his form and leadership.

The pressure on Babar has intensified after Pakistan’s early exit from the tournament, where the team failed to advance past the group stage following consecutive defeats to the USA and India, leading to further questions about his captaincy in white-ball formats.
