Explosive Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Josh Inglis scored an incredible century off just 43 balls Fastest T20 100 for Australia against Scotland, breaking the record held by Aaron Finch and Glenn Maxwell.

Earlier, Aaron Finch and Glenn Maxwell had scored T20I centuries for Australia off 47 balls each. For the English-born Inglis, it was his second T20I century, joining the elite club of Australian batsmen with T20I hundreds, it was the fastest T20 100 for Australia.

Bowling first, Scotland got off to a brilliant start with Bradley Curry taking out both Australian opening batsmen, including the crucial wicket of Travis Head to claim a golden duck. However, Josh Inglis and Cameron Green formed a valuable 92-run partnership to stabilize the Australian innings. Inglis took the lead aggressively, while Green played a supporting role.

Curry returned to break the partnership, but Inglis continued his relentless attack on the Scottish bowlers. Inglis produced an exceptional performance, storming towards his second T20I hundred, breaking the previous record for the fastest T20I hundred by an Australian. His 43-ball hundred, combined with power and precision, enthralled the crowd, who raised their bats in celebration. Though he was eventually dismissed, Inglis’ innings proved crucial for Australia and it was just the Fastest T20 100 for Australia, setting them a challenging target of 196/6 in the allotted 20 overs.
